Gouache

Gouache is known as the opaque version of watercolour paint but it has a few other differences, including acrylic versions. The paint usually has a higher pigment loading giving stronger, richer colours. So, instead of showing layers of transparent watercolour it gives a strong, solid block of colour, perfect for bold, vibrant works. Watercolour gouache remains water-soluble whereas acrylic gouache dries permanent.
